The island of Green Turtle Cay's brightly colored buildings, brilliant vistas, beautiful beaches and exotic sea life inspired the artwork as well as the color palette of the different paddle designs. The native sea turtle is a major tourist attraction on the island. Interestingly their vision under the water is good. In addition to seeing color they can see ultraviolet light. On land however the turtle is very nearsighted.
